Woke up really late and drove to Summerlin. It's an easy 15 minute trip south on 95. The Suncoast coffee shop has great hamburgers. Went to the sports betting club, and said I had signed up on line before they opened to get their free T-shirt. Sure enough. They looked it up in their computer and presented me with a nice T-shirt showing I was a founding member. The Suncoast is nice, but it wasn't very busy out there. Then we drove over to the Regent. Now that place is really quiet, quiet, quiet. Made me rethink that I thought the Suncoast wasn't busy. It's pretty, but not glitzy. The shops were dead, and the casino was like a tomb. We walked around the pool.. There's a lot of greenery, but it's not as pretty as lots of others. The waterfalls are a nice touch. They're in bankruptcy. Stopped at Palace Station so that Harry could play the weird rules 1 deck BJ game. I played a very faded Auction slot. I got 3 "scatters" on adjacent reels, but nothing happened.. I read the rules which said, "Three scatters symbols anywhere on a payline actives the super scatter. Press the button for your free spin." To make a long story short after talking to a slot attendant, and 2 supervisors, they couldn't figure out why it didn't pay. But the bottom line is the supervisors said the slot knows what it's doing, and even though it appears it should pay "IT" would know what to do. None of them had ever played the machine or knew anything about it.

The last one read and reread the rules and thought it should pay. I thought that was weird that "supervisors" knew nothing about the slots they were supervising. All this took an hour saving me countless dollars not expended on other slots. I finally left because Harry wanted to be on our way to Mirage for the dinner buffet. We had a Wagerworks certificate for 2 free buffets at Mirage made out by the Mirage slot club. The certificate says, "2 comp buffets, 2 comp rounds." As I mentioned before we knew there was no such thing as a comp line so we waited. The cashier gave us our slip. When we got to the table I told the server we'd each like a glass of wine. He said he'd have to charge us because the ticket the cashier gave us did not indicate drinks. So I went back to the cashier who was now busy chatting on the phone with a friend. She says Mirage does not give comp drinks. I asked her to let me read the certificate I had given her. She produced it and said, "Yes, it does say 2 comp rounds, but we don't do that." Now, remember the certificate was written by their slot club. This cashier was really annoyed with me because she was still on the phone, and I wasn't going away.. I insisted she call a supervisor which she did, and I read the certificate to her over the phone. Mira, the supervisor, said she understood that it said free drinks, but she doesn't care what it says. We don't give drinks." I replied, "Can I quote you?" I'm writing it down, -"You know what it says, but you don't care. " "Sure, that's the way it is.". I said Bellagio honored the same certificate 10 days ago, and she said that they're not Bellagio. Obviously, I could have just forgotten it at this point, but Wagerworks has backed out on so many things.

There was a principal involved. I asked the cashier to xerox the certificate for me, and she said she'd have to call a manager. I waited and waited . Then the manager came and just repeated what the other two had said, that he knew what it said, but it didn't matter what it said. But he did go to get me a xerox, not very nicely. What an attitude this place has. What I really felt like doing was writing a letter to Steve Wynn to let him know how they're destroying his wonderful place. It must make him sick. They were willing to go through all of this to avoid serving 2 glasses of wine. Kinda makes you wonder who's piloting the ship. At 7:30 they completely closed ½ of the buffet which caused an enormous back up in people waiting. And if those were king crab I 'd be shocked. The spindly crab meat was falling out of the shells and it was being drowned by the shells. The presentation was very unappetizing, and no staff came to do anything about it. This place made me lose my appetite anyway. Many of the $5 BJ table have continuous shuffling machines. A few of the $10 tables had the CSMs. If everyone would avoid playing at the CSM's they would take them out. They did take them out of the casino in Gary Indiana when people didn't play at those tables. betting sportsbooks
